It is hot here in the North Bay. Pi is just cooling off with an ice pack while he waits for the A/C to kick in.
For those of you who didn't know, Pi is actually a younger sibling of the ex-feral Weather litter, Misty, Storm and Cloud from last year (Misty is still available). We have yet to trap the elusive mama kitty, but we are working on it so we can save her from having litter after litter. We were at least able to save Pi from a dangerous and feral life in the wild and tamed him into a loving, affectionate little kitty. He is somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks old and will need just a little bit of grooming since his coat is of medium length - not quite short, but not quite long.
His foster parents just adore him! He has been living with a yellow lab, who mostly ignores him, the last couple of weeks and does perfectly fine. If you want a dog friendly kitty, this is your guy!
Sweet Molly is a senior lab that we just had to rescue from a Central Valley shelter. She has been having trouble walking and went to the vet immediately. We will keep you all updated on her progress. We expect that her medical care will be fairly extensive, so if you'd like to help, visit our donate page to help us give Molly her best chance!
Special THANK YOU to Pet Food Express, who collected much-needed kitten supplies on behalf of Petaluma Pet Pals and other local shelters and rescues. These supplies will go immediately into good use - we have a litter of 5 bottle babies coming this weekend!
We could not do what we do without the generosity and efforts of these amazing organizations that give back to the community. Thank you all for helping us accomplish all that we do!
